For the third time in four weeks a Min-American Conference school has gone on the road and beaten a Big Ten team, this time, Central Michigan rallied and beat Iowa 32-31.

After missing a two-point conversion in the final minute, Central Michigan recovered an onside kick and David Harman drilled a 47-yard field goal with only three seconds left.

Iowa running back Mark Weisman did everything he could to keep Iowa from falling the same way others in the conference have. He rushed for 217 yards on 27 carries for three-touchdowns. It still wasn’t enough.

Chippewas quarterback Ryan Radcliff attacked the Hawkeyes defense for 283 yards and two touchdowns.

Opening weekend Ohio knocked off Penn State and Ball State shocked Indiana.

Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State almost joined them.

Wisconsin led Texas El-Paso only 23-19 midway through the fourth quarter before ending up with a 37-26 victory.

Ohio State was trailing a winless Alabama at Birminham at home 9-0 before winning 31-16.
