Brett LawrieHis No. 13 jersey may have brought him some “bad karma” last night. The Blue Jay’s (3B) Brett Lawrie didn’t see the “balls and strikes” in the same way as home plate Umpire, Bill Miller. In fact, Lawrie objected so strongly on one call that he launched his batter’s helmet at the official. The incident began with a 3-2 pitch, which Lawrie let go, judging it to be ball four. As he started for 1st base, he suddenly whirled around in anger when he realized he’d been called out on strikes. Lawrie then went ballistic when he was ejected from the game for his outburst.
