The Kansas City Royals are the proud owners of dead last in the AL Central. They have a record of 41-60, a full 14 games behind division leading Chicago. They have lost 8 of their last 10 games, including 5 in a row. Basically, they are just waiting to be mathematically eliminated before heading home for the year.

So, what is it that is this team’s biggest problem? Well, apparently some “experts” think it’s because players simply “visit” too much with opposing players!

In a report on “foxsportskansascity.com,” baseball announcers Ryan Lefebvre and Rex Hudler have both mentioned several times to their audiences that they feel the Royals are chatting it up a lot with other players during games.

One instance which this reports cites was a game last Monday night between the Angels and Royals, in which Los Angeles of Anaheim won 6-3. In the eighth inning, Angels DH Kendrys Morales had smacked a three-run single to provide the margin of victory.

Soon after that hit, Morales advanced to 2nd base, where he was seen being engaged in a pleasant, “smiley” conversation with both the Royal’s shortstop Escobar and second baseman Betancourt. And they weren’t the only ones talking, as broadcaster Lefebvre “reiterated his pet peeve” about the talkative Royals once again.
