New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was asked who was making an impression regarding leadership in the locker room, and the All-Pro defender pointed to Demario Davis.
It’s not unusual that a linebacker might take a lead role on a defense, but what makes this unique is that Davis is a rookie, and not only a rookie, but a third-round pick.
But, according to the New York Post, Revis says Davis exemplifies leadership even early in his Jets tenure.
“He’s vocal,” Revis said. “You don’t frown on that. You accept that. He still has a lot of things to learn. But just to have those leadership qualities, you can tell where he came from. You can tell he was a leader in college.”
