LSU got a huge boost by Jeremy Hill, who didn’t even play in their first two games.

Hill, a freshman and behind sophomore Kenny Hilliard and juniors Spencer Ware and Michael Ford, didn’t seem to fit into the Tigers plans this season. But, it was Hill who led the Tigers and all rushers with 123 yards on 17 carries as he scored the first touchdown. Hill’s power 235 pounds and speed was evidenced by his 50-yard run that was  eventually the game-winning score with 5:25 left in the fourth quarter.

LSU had a whopping 407 yards on the night to South Carolina’s 211. 110 of those yards came on the final two drives after the Tigers took a 23-14 lead.

The SEC continues to be a mess with Alabama perched up top. All eyes are on the Nov 3rd match up of Alabama at LSU.
